Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• State Paramedic License
• NYC REMAC
• State Driver’s License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS
• NREMT-Paramedic
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare

Benefits

• $5,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time hires (paid over 6 months)
• $2,500 sign‑on bonus for part‑time hires (paid over 6 months)
• Referral bonus: $5,000 for referring a full‑time Paramedic, $2,500 for referring a part‑time Paramedic (terms and conditions apply)
• Referral of a full‑time hire requires the referred employee to work a minimum of 36 hours per week; referral of a part‑time hire requires 2 shifts per week.
• Referrer’s name must be included at time of application.

Pay

Starting pay $32.73 per hour and up based on years of experience (range $32.73–$39.61 per hour).
