Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse and/or Physician, facilitate age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care
  • Maintain a safe environment
  • Educate patients and their families
  • Collect information and communicate effectively
  • Utilize technology
  • Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of health care services and tasks
  • Provide patient advocacy, teaching, and performance improvement
  • Oversee unlicensed personnel

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year of experience as a Paramedic preferred
  • Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia required
  • National Registry preferred
  • BLS Certification required
  • If working in the Emergency Department, ALS/ACLS and PALS required (Paramedics new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
  • Experienced Emergency Department Paramedics will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification
