This position provides advanced emergency care and technical support to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment while practicing within NREMT, Louisiana Bureau of EMS, and Willis Knighton Health guidelines. Minimum Qualifications Current NREMT Paramedic certificationCurrent Louisiana Bureau of EMS Paramedic licensureCurrent BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificationsMinimum of three (3) years of active paramedic experience Key Responsibilities Obtain and document patient assessments, vital signs, EKGs, and other clinical data as permitted by scope of practiceAdminister approved medications and treatmentsInitiate and maintain IV access and perform approved advanced proceduresAssist physicians and nurses with emergency procedures and patient carePerform CPR and participate in resuscitation effortsReceive EMS handoff reports and coordinate with the healthcare teamMaintain clinical competency, accurate documentation, and compliance with all organizational policies and standardsSupport a culture of teamwork, professionalism, patient-centered care, and continuous quality improvement
