We’re looking for a highly organized, emotionally intelligent Paralegal who can confidently manage the moving pieces of family law litigation with professionalism and care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, an excellent communicator, and comfortable serving as a key point of contact for clients navigating difficult transitions. Responsibilities
Litigation + Legal Support
- Prepare, organize, and maintain litigation documents, pleadings, and case files
- Assist with discovery preparation and responses
- Draft motions and supporting documents in collaboration with attorneys
- Support mediation and trial preparation, including exhibits, binders, and file organization
Client Communication + Case Coordination
- Serve as a compassionate and professional point of contact for clients
- Coordinate scheduling, deadlines, and case logistics
- Help keep cases on track by proactively managing tasks, follow-ups, and next steps
Research + Document Drafting
- Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy and preparation
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and refining documents to ensure accuracy, clarity, and professionalism
- Help produce polished, court-ready work product that reflects the firm’s standards of excellence
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience and strong knowledge of Washington State court rules and motion practice (King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties)
- Strong tech fluency (or learns fast): Clio, Dropbox, Adobe, MS Office 365, Slack, Zoom
- Stellar writing skills
- Comfortable with coaching and practicing radical candor
- Stable internet and access to a phone
- Ability to relate to people across diverse backgrounds with respect and ease
- Commitment to meet mutually agreed upon billable hour requirements
Pay
$30–$50/hour, depending on experience and chosen billable target
