About the role

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is a national law firm known for its progressive and industry-leading legal, business, regulatory, and government relations advice. We are seeking a Paralegal to support Litigation and Labor & Employment attorneys in our San Diego office.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a comprehensive information flow within your team, with other internal colleagues, and with external sources.
  • Become an expert in electronic filing systems and be the go-to contact for California-based filings firm-wide.
  • Accurately record and promptly submit billable time for yourself and attorneys within your team.
  • Assist with discovery requests and conduct legal and factual investigations.
  • Prepare exhibits and documentation for depositions, hearings, and trials, and draft motions, client correspondence, and form documents such as ADR Stipulations, Rule 26(f) reports, and various disclosures.
  • Gather, organize, and review records and prepare chronologies.

Requirements

  • Drive and determination to learn new skills in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • The ability to own individual tasks as well as collaborate in a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong time management skills to produce quality work product while meeting deadlines.
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a Paralegal in a law firm, corporate legal department, or government entity.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate.

Pay and Schedule

Compensation: Hourly pay equivalent to approximately $75,000 - $100,000 annually. Actual pay may vary based on a variety of factors, including education, applicable experience, etc.

Hybrid work schedule available.
