About the role

Stange Law Firm, PC is accepting resumes for a dynamic, highly motivated Full-Time Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary to join our Clayton, Missouri office, which is moving to Creve Coeur, Missouri on August 1, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally greeting clients and visitors.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and accurately relaying messages.
  • Scheduling appointments and assisting with client communications.
  • Coeordinating with courts, opposing counsel, and third parties.
  • Preparing, drafting, and proofreading pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Preparing documents for filing with courts and other agencies.
  • Maintaining organized electronic and physical client files.
  • Calendaring hearings, deadlines, meetings, and appointments.
  • Assisting attorneys with discovery, trial preparation, and other litigation support.
  • Performing electronic filing with courts.
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Scanning, copying, and distributing documents.
  • Entering billable time into the firm's timekeeping software on the same day work is performed.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and the firm's case management software.
  • Performing general administrative duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, legal secretary, or in a law firm is preferred, but not required.
  • Family law or litigation experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technology and software.
  • A positive attitude, professionalism, dependability, and outstanding customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a legal setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Pay

Competitive salary based on experience.

Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
