About the role
Stange Law Firm, PC is accepting resumes for a dynamic, highly motivated Full-Time Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary to join our Clayton, Missouri office, which is moving to Creve Coeur, Missouri on August 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Professionally greeting clients and visitors.
- Answering incoming telephone calls and accurately relaying messages.
- Scheduling appointments and assisting with client communications.
- Coeordinating with courts, opposing counsel, and third parties.
- Preparing, drafting, and proofreading pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Preparing documents for filing with courts and other agencies.
- Maintaining organized electronic and physical client files.
- Calendaring hearings, deadlines, meetings, and appointments.
- Assisting attorneys with discovery, trial preparation, and other litigation support.
- Performing electronic filing with courts.
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Scanning, copying, and distributing documents.
- Entering billable time into the firm's timekeeping software on the same day work is performed.
- Utilizing Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and the firm's case management software.
- Performing general administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, legal secretary, or in a law firm is preferred, but not required.
- Family law or litigation experience is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new technology and software.
- A positive attitude, professionalism, dependability, and outstanding customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a legal setting preferred.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Pay
