Our client, an established and growing law firm in the Milwaukee area, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join its team. This is a full-time, in-office position in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin supporting attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and paralegal support to attorneys throughout the case lifecycle
- Prepare, draft, format, and file legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and other materials
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, appointments, and case-related events
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files
- Assist with discovery, document production, and exhibit preparation
- Obtain, review, and organize financial and other case-related records
- Coordinate meetings, depositions, hearings, and other case events
- Assist attorneys with case preparation from initial client intake through resolution
- Perform additional legal and administrative duties as needed
Requirements
- Prior law firm or legal experience required
- Family law experience preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients in a professional manner
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new legal software and technology
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Pay
Salary: $60,000-$75,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience
