About the role

At First Financial Bank, the Legal Department supports operations, protects interests, and ensures sound governance. The Legal Assistant role involves providing essential administrative and operational support to the General Counsel and Legal Department.

Responsibilities

  • Support legal operations

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of experience in a law firm, financial institution, or professional office environment
  • Experience with electronic filing systems, legal document management, or public records searches
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer
  • Review and process detailed information requiring close visual attention and accuracy
  • Operate a computer and other standard office equipment throughout the workday
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, associates, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

  • Associate degree or coursework in business, legal studies, or a related field preferred
