Our Legal Response Team serves as a critical partner to the firm, managing legal requests, court orders, litigation matters, and regulatory inquiries while helping protect the firm, its clients, and its associates. This team works across a variety of legal workstreams and collaborates with business partners, attorneys, courts, and outside counsel to ensure timely, accurate, and risk-conscious responses.

Responsibilities

  • Independently review, analyze, and respond to complex third-party subpoenas and other legal requests.
  • Provide guidance on court orders and assist with a variety of legal inquiries and service tickets.
  • Manage and support eDiscovery activities, including data collection, analysis, review, tagging, and production for litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Assist with higher-risk, more complex, or sensitive legal matters across the team.
  • Partner with in-house attorneys, legal professionals, outside counsel, and external stakeholders to support ongoing legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research, including review of state statutes, court rules, and procedural requirements.
  • Draft, review, and interpret legal documents and correspondence.
  • Proactively identify potential issues, assess risk, and recommend solutions.
  • Participate in and contribute to team discussions, process improvements, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Train and support team members on legal processes, technology, and best practices.
  • Ensure appropriate handling and protection of confidential, sensitive, privileged, and private information.
  • Support special projects and other legal initiatives as directed.

Impact

In this role, you'll help the team manage a growing volume of litigation and regulatory matters while contributing to the continued evolution of our eDiscovery and legal response processes. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Serve as a trusted resource for legal guidance and operational support across multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 11–14 years of relevant professional experience, including 10+ years in a legal support role (e.g., paralegal, eDiscovery, litigation support).

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing complex legal requests, subpoenas, and court orders.
  • Experience with eDiscovery processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess risk and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting and interpreting legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with attorneys, business partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.

Skills

  • Legal research, including familiarity with state statutes and court rules.
  • Process improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Training and supporting team members on legal processes and technology.

Schedule

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
