Paralegal – Finance (UCC)

Responsibilities

• Conduct lien and litigation searches from various state and local jurisdictions
• Assist attorneys and other paralegals with due diligence reviews
• Prepare and file UCC-1 financing statements, including collateral exhibits, and UCC-3 amendments, continuations, and terminations at the state and local levels
• Order articles of organization and incorporation and corporate and tax certificates of good standing from vendors in appropriate jurisdictions; review results and assist with resolving issues, as needed
• Review finance and closing documents for UCC provisions, authority to file liens and terminations, and other UCC-related requirements
• Coordinate with service companies regarding UCC filings and terminations required in connection with transaction closings
• Protect and maintain any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information retained by Latham & Watkins

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with firm technologies and resources, able to quickly adopt new tools and integrate technology into workflows
• Strong organizational and time management skills, able to manage complex workflows and competing priorities, anticipate needs and deadlines, and consistently deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality, able to independently review work for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with applicable firm policies, procedures, and quality standards

Pay

The pay range for this role is USD $100,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
