Paralegal - Family Law
Job Details
Reviews client documentation, such as marital estates, and prepares business income and marital estate summaries, inventories, settlement statements and pretrial statements. Responsible for obtaining proper service. Handles case and attorney preparation for court appearances and exhibit creation. Handles calculation, docketing and meeting court deadlines. Reviews attorney mail and manages calendar. Client support for vacationing attorneys. Scheduling, including but not limited to, hearings, conferences, depositions and settlement conferences. Handles significant interaction with clients, opposing counsels and experts via correspondence, telephone, e-mail and in-person meetings.
Requirements
- Strong legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Bar admission in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience in family law
