Paralegal / Business Immigration Supervisor (Temporary)
About the role
Soni Resources is partnering with a prestigious global law firm to find a long-term temporary Paralegal / Business Immigration Supervisor for its San Jose office. The individual will oversee a team of caseworkers supporting employment-based immigration matters for corporate clients. This position combines hands-on case management with team leadership, ensuring high-quality work output, strong client relationships, and consistent adherence to firm standards. The supervisor guides complex case strategy, mentors staff, and collaborates across teams to deliver an exceptional client experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with all NIV case types, including end-to-end case management and quality control.
- Supervise and develop a team of approximately 5 Business Immigration Analysts (BIAs) and/or paralegals.
- Strong workflow management skills with the ability to prioritize caseloads, monitor deadlines, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.
- Effectively manage high-volume NIV processing across a large number of small and medium-sized clients while maintaining exceptional client service and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 5 years of related law firm experience, including supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa processes and related procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver strong client service.
- Proficiency with case management systems, Microsoft Office tools (including Excel), and data/reporting technologies.
Pay
$43/hr. - $49/hr. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.
