Key Responsibilities
- Support the Investment Legal team on a range of topics including investment-related obligations and monitoring portfolio company activities.
- Closely liaise with external counsel, service providers and internal teams to ensure adherence with investment-related legal processes and procedures.
- Help manage legal knowledge resources, including internal Investment Legal processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal functions including operations, asset management, leadership and client teams to address legal and transactional needs across portfolio companies.
- Manage regulatory related operational matters, including documentation, service provider coordination and compliance tracking.
- Provide support on ad hoc legal, regulatory and transactional projects as needed.
AI & Technology Enablement
- Help develop and pilot use cases for legal AI tools (e.g., contract review, knowledge management, obligation tracking, drafting assistance, summarization, due diligence support).
- Support the design, build and rollout of bespoke AI agents and automated workflows tailored to Investment Legal's needs.
- Lead and support team training and adoption initiatives to embed new tools and ways of working across the team.
- Partner with internal technology, data and innovation teams to evaluate and implement fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Track impact, share learnings, and continuously iterate on the enablement roadmap.
Paralegal & Professional Skills
- Prior paralegal, legal operations, legal tech or relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality work under time-sensitive deadlines.
- Clear, professional communication skills and confidence collaborating with diverse stakeholders across functions, seniority levels and geographies.
- Solid understanding of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong discipline in document management, process execution and obligation tracking.
- Sound judgment in identifying, managing and appropriately escalating legal, regulatory and operational risks.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment, with a high degree of ownership, accountability and professionalism.
Tech & AI Skills
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with, or strong demonstrable interest in, legal technology and AI-enabled tools (e.g., contract lifecycle management, document automation, generative AI assistants, agentic workflows, no-code/low-code platforms).
- Ability to translate operational pain points into structured use cases, requirements and process maps.
- Comfort with experimentation, prototyping and iterative delivery.
- Experience contributing to training, enablement or change management initiatives is a plus.
Qualifications
- Law degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a legal or paralegal capacity.
- Experience with legal technology and AI tools is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
