Paralegal 1 (Pre-Law Program)

About the role

Ogletree Deakins is one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management in all types of employment-related legal matters. The Paralegal 1 will support attorneys with legal research, litigation, workplace investigations, legislative and regulatory tracking, and client communications.

Responsibilities

• Drafting research memoranda and factual summaries.
• Assisting with client alerts, blog posts, and legislative and regulatory updates.
• Supporting workplace investigations and analyzing related documentation.
• Assisting with the preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation documents.
• Attending and supporting arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and hearings.
• Cite-checking and proofreading legal documents.
• Coordinating case organization, document management, and filing deadlines.
• Supporting firm initiatives such as DEI programs, business development activities, recruiting, and community engagement efforts.

Pay

The expected salary range for this Virginia position is between $50,490 - $65,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
