Paraeducator - Title
Contract type: Continuing • 4 hours/day • 189-day KAP calendar
Pay
Hourly salary range: $29.43 – $36.18 (KAP Salary Schedule). Step placement based on verified years of experience in an educational unit. Salary is annualized and spread through August.

Requirements
Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in the State of Washington through one of the following:
- Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- 72 college-level credits from an accredited institution.
- A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate, you will have the opportunity to take the test prior to being formally hired.
Post-Hire Requirements
Upon hire, paraeducators will be required to complete state-required training offered through the KSD Professional Development Team.
