Paraeducator-SPED (TK/K SDC)

Lateral transfer posting open to district employees for the first 3 days (8/12/2026 – 8/14/2026). Promotional and qualified internal applicants considered after no lateral interest, for 5 days (8/12/2026 – 8/18/2026). Outside applicants considered after all qualified in-district applicants are interviewed.

Pay

$20.59 - $25.02 per hour (5-step increments per contract; highest placement with experience is step 3). Includes district benefit package.

Schedule

6 hours per day / 180 days per year.

Requirements

• High School diploma (or equivalent), AND
• 48 college units or Associate or Bachelor’s degree, OR
• Passing score (70% in both ELA and Math) on the Paraprofessional Exam administered by the Sutter County Superintendent of Schools (970 Klamath Lane, Yuba City, 530-822-2900).

Proof of this requirement must be attached to the online application (college transcripts or Paraprofessional Exam letter showing passing score).
