Requirements / Qualifications

• Only completely filled applications with a current resume and 3 letters of recommendation will be considered.
• Letter(s) of Recommendation: 3 letters total (1 from a current or former employer, 2 personal).
• A pre‑requisite for employment is proof of passing the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test or possession of an AA degree or higher.
• Candidates who receive an offer of employment will be hired contingent upon satisfactory completion of:
  • Fingerprinting/background checks
  • Verification of freedom from Tuberculosis
  • Verification of I‑9 Employment Eligibility
• Exceptions to taking the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test include possession of a current California Teacher Credential, an AA degree or higher, at least 48 semester units, or passing the CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test).
• If you do not meet any of these requirements or have not already taken the test, you must do so prior to being employed. For test dates, contact the Napa Valley Adult School at 253‑3594.

Schedule

Part‑time: 6 hours per day for 195 days per year & 0.5 hours per day for 194 days per year.

Pay

Noon Duty: $17.73 – $19.53 per hour (starting salary D.O.E.).
