Paraeducator I - West Park High School (2026-27)
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the school principal or designee, assists with the supervision and instruction of students; performs clerical tasks; and assists students on and off campus by meeting special health care needs and developing students' daily living and behavioral skills.
Requirements / Qualifications
- High School Diploma and Completion of at least two years of study at an institution of higher education; or possession of an AA degree or higher; or verification of having obtained a passing score on a district-approved proficiency assessment.
- Knowledge of basic instructional methods and classroom management techniques; subjects including arithmetic, reading, writing, grammar and spelling; educationally related hardware and software tools.

Note - this position is for the 2026-27 school year, starting on or around August 3, 2026. This position will be working in the Special Education Department at West Park High School. Previous experience working with students or persons with disabilities is desired.
Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the week of July 27th.
