Paraeducator (Floating Position)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Work experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Working knowledge of training techniques, behavior modification, and task analysis.
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate with students, parents, community, and peers.
• Able to understand and work with children of all ages.
• Must demonstrate cooperative and effective communication skills, both oral and written, and apply active listening skills.

Responsibilities

The Paraeducator is responsible for assisting teachers, Itinerant staff and others in the support of instructional, health related, recreation and/or pre-vocational job training activities. The Paraeducator may be assigned to one classroom or to a variety of assignments depending on the needs of the students.

Starting Pay

$14.37 per hour, or higher, based on actual years of experience.

Schedule

School-year position following the district calendar.

Starting Date

2026-2027 School Year (August 2026)
