About the role

To assist the special education teacher in working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve the skill levels commensurate with their capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Supports the special education teacher in providing instructional assistance to students
• Works with individual students or small groups to help them achieve skill levels commensurate with their capabilities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with individuals with special needs
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Qualifications

• Valid Kansas teaching license or ability to obtain within six months of hire
• Knowledge of special education principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits

Pay

$13.53-$19.78/hour (wage determined by years of relevant experience)
