Parachute/Seat Survival Kit Technician

About the role

The role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing parachutes and seat survival kits used in military operations. This includes troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all equipment meets safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parachutes and seat survival kits for defects and wear
• Perform preventive maintenance checks to ensure equipment is in good working order
• Diagnose and repair issues with parachutes and survival kits
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents
• Document findings and repairs in maintenance logs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of related experience in maintenance or repair work
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• Knowledge of parachute and survival kit systems
• Experience with maintenance tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

$50,000 - $60,000 annually

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
