About the Role

Special Education Paraprofessionals provide assistance, under classroom teacher direction, to students identified with special needs by helping them stay on task, complete assignments, maintain acceptable behavior, and function in daily living and job skills. The above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities and is not meant to be all inclusive.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Associates degree or willingness to take and pass the Para Pro Assessment
• Acceptance of students' disabilities and limitations
• Ability to lift, pull, or move a minimum of 50 pounds
• Accepts direction from supervising teacher(s) and is willing to work as a team

Schedule

We are looking for "short call" substitutes to work in either or both buildings: Rippleside Elementary and Aitkin High School.
