About the role
This position assists a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of severely handicapped students in a classroom. It involves monitoring and reporting student progress regarding behavior and performance, and assisting students in developing various self-help, social, and community skills.

Requirements / Qualifications
- Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and some experience in working with children or individuals with disabilities.
- This position requires the SCOE Para Educator Severe Proficiency Test certificate.
- The following can be substituted for the SCOE Para Educator Severe Proficiency Test: NCLB/ESSA Test certificate from Stanislaus County, CBEST, or transcripts showing minimum of 48 college units or date AA Degree or higher level degree was awarded (transcripts can be unofficial).
- Please attach a copy to your application.
- The following are not required at the time of application but will be required if offered employment: DOJ Fingerprint clearance, TB Clearance, Lift Test/Drug Screen clearance.
