This role takes place in an events-based setting, with schedules and hours varying. You will typically work 8 or 10 events a year. Availability is submitted and considered when scheduling. This is a union position under Unite Here 11, with pay progression per the Collective Bargaining Agreement: new hires start at 80% of the negotiated pay rate, increasing to 90% after 20 shifts, and reaching 100% after 40 shifts.

The hourly starting wage for this position is $23.00.

Responsibilities
- Train and guide pantry staff on job duties, safety, and sanitation procedures
- Ensure daily location inventory sheets are complete and accurate
- Verify all product movements are accompanied by proper documentation
- Delegate responsibilities to assigned location personnel
- Ensure staff follows instructions and projects a professional appearance per Aramark standards
- Enforce all Aramark policies and ensure pantry compliance with guidelines and regulations
- Maintain a "clean as you go" work environment, including overall sanitation of the location and surrounding area
- Record food and refrigeration temperatures in accordance with regulations
- Complete opening and closing duties paperwork (e.g., cleaning checklists, opening/closing checklists)
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in a similar role
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment based on experience to solve problems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- May act as an informal resource for less experienced staff
- Extensive knowledge of proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment (e.g., steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, dishwashing equipment)
- Thorough understanding of basic sanitation procedures
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 75 lbs
- Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing
- May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
