About the role
The Palliative Care Physician will work alongside Palliative Care-certified Advanced Practice Providers to deliver patient-centered, interdisciplinary care focused on quality of life and symptom management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive palliative care services to patients with cancer and other serious illnesses.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
- Participate in the development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide symptom management and supportive care to improve the overall quality of life for patients.
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with advances in palliative care.
Requirements
- Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine or equivalent.
- MD or DO degree.
- Experience in palliative care or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Experienced physicians preferred; fellows encouraged to apply.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.
