Palliative Care - Physician

About the role

The Pediatric Palliative Care Physician will join the growing Supportive Care program at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange County, California. CHOC is a premier healthcare system dedicated to the health and well-being of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic and quality care to pediatric medical and surgical patients from birth to young adulthood.
• Contribute to the development and growth of CHOC Children’s Specialists’ program.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in community outreach efforts.
• Conduct research.
• Teach residents and fellows.
• Assist with administrative tasks.

Requirements

• CA medical license or eligibility to obtain a CA medical license.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Completion of fellowship in adult palliative care or pediatric palliative care (preferred).
• Current California DEA certificate.
• Current PALS certification.

Qualifications

• Bright and independent with a passion for palliative care medicine and pain management.
• Desire to contribute to the development and growth of CHOC Children’s Specialists’ program.
