Responsibilities

  • Follow repair guidelines to execute the full repair of all components of a pallet, including but not limited to removal and replacement of defective boards.
  • Strive to meet daily production targets.
  • Drag/pull pallets frequently—approximately 75 lbs.
  • Utilize nail gun frequently—approximately 35 lbs.
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify any defects or irregularities in pallet construction.
  • Ensure adherence to repair guidelines and quality standards throughout the process.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery.
  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment daily.
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
  • Use a pneumatic nail gun and reciprocating saw to repair pallets.
  • Place pallet on repair table, remove defective boards, replace with new boards, and nail replaced boards into place.
  • Troubleshoot jams and perform basic maintenance of the saw.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Repeatedly lift pallets weighing 60-75 lbs.
  • Operate nail guns with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the business.

Requirements

  • Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks.
  • Ability to understand and communicate information.
  • Must be 18 years of age.

Preferred Skills

  • 2+ years previous experience working in an industrial, fast-moving setting with industrial machinery.
  • Accountability, active listening, computer literacy, critical thinking, decision making, interpersonal skills, managerial confidence, mathematic literacy, time management, verbal communications.
