Key Job Responsibilities

• Assembling pallets and crates
• Cutting and stacking lumber

Requirements

• Duties and requirements include checking components for quality, reading and interpreting job orders, using good judgment, identifying wood species and grades, performing routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments, ensuring a safe and productive work environment, maintaining an acceptable attendance record, working in a team environment, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Physical demands include standing 100% of the time, using hands and arms to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear, lifting and moving up to 100 pounds occasionally, and using repetitive motions.
• Physical abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to focus.
• The work environment includes an indoor and partial outdoor manufacturing setting with moderate to high noise levels requiring hearing protection, exposure to weather conditions, and the need to notify supervisors when leaving work areas.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with air tools including nail guns and other manufacturing tools
• Able to read and interpret job orders
• Able to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management
• Able to apply basic mathematical concepts and use a standard and/or metric tape measure
• Able to make limited and independent judgments based on given alternatives and apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Able to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Able to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to tasks such as job order verification
