About the role

This role focuses on designing, modeling, and maintaining enterprise data structures within the Palantir ecosystem. The primary responsibilities include using Palantir Ontology Manager for effective data governance, managing and optimizing the Data Asset Inventory, and defining and governing the Enterprise Metadata Schema.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain data ontologies using Palantir Ontology Manager.
  • Manage and optimize the Data Asset Inventory and metadata structures.
  • Define and govern the Enterprise Metadata Schema to ensure consistency across applications and domains.
  • Design and maintain APIs for Ontology objects and coordinate integration with application teams.
  • Partner with data producers and consumers to ensure accurate modeling and governance across the platform.
  • Support business development efforts such as responding to RFPs/RFIs, developing white papers, creating pitch decks and capability briefings, etc.

Requirements

  • ACTIVE and MAINTAINED SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience in hands-on data modeling and/or data architecture.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry Ontology design, data modeling, and structured metadata governance.
  • Experience in building and optimizing pipelines within Palantir.
  • Strong understanding of API structures and integration patterns within Palantir.
  • Experience with enterprise data architecture principles.
  • Ability to support remote, hybrid, and on-site projects in the DC metro area.

Qualifications

  • Ability to collaborate with application developers and data governance teams.
  • Six (6) years’ experience in hands-on data modeling and/or data architecture.
  • Deep understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Proficiency in querying and joining datasets using SQL.
