About the role
As a Painter at United Rentals, you will be responsible for the preparation of various surfaces and the application of paints, enamels, stains, shellac, varnishes, or other finishes on equipment.
Responsibilities
- 1:1 with Lead Painter regarding daily priorities
- Confirm correct paint colors for each unit
- Bleed out air compressor to assure there is no moisture
- Clean and inspect paint gun
- Inspect prepped units for quality
- Apply pre-cleaner with Tack Rag to clean surface
- Suit up (Head cover, Paint suit, Respirator, Gloves, etc.)
- Apply primer to any exposed metal and apply base coat
- Conduct final inspection of all units to ensure the job was completed accurately
- Tool maintenance: clean/flush paint guns, collect all tools and put them back
- Inspect work area to assure that the booth is left the same before the paint process
- Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of experience
- Occasional working at heights above 10 feet
- Ability to wear a respirator and/or hearing protection as required
- Ability to bend, kneel, and work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time
This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.

Compensation Range: $22.90 - $34.35
Schedule
Second Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm*
