Painter (Non-Union)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Painter to join our team for a full-time position. In this role, you will ensure that all painted surfaces meet our high standards of quality and finish, contributing to the overall excellence of our production process. You will also patch and paint sheetrock walls in an office setting, install corner guards, and complete small carpentry tasks.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Pay

$27.00 per hour. The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
• Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work.
• Select materials necessary for the work.
• Paint walls, woodwork, and fixtures.
• Identify surface peculiarities and determine the types of paint required for different applications.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes.
• Mix colors, oils, white lead, and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency.
• Use spray gun and/or brush to apply paint.
• Install wall blocking for monitors.
• Experience with Scuff Master Paint.
• Read floor plans.
• Use computer for ticketing systems, emails, and Microsoft Word.
• Provide daily and weekly status reports.
• Set up and work on ladders and scaffolding.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform daily clean up after task completion.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial or industrial painting (highly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of paint types, application techniques, and appropriate tools for touch-up work.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and productivity standards.
