About the role

Lake Seminole Square is recruiting for a hospitality focused Painter / Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. With the support and collaboration of the maintenance team, this role is responsible for painting and the overall maintenance of the community building, working closely with a supportive and collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and maintenance repair of paint in common areas and residential apartments of the building
• Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes and fittings, repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures, repairing doors and locks, etc.
• Assist in providing initial response for malfunction of residential HVAC equipment
• Perform resets and simple repairs as necessary
• Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure
• Complete all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information
• Assist other Maintenance personnel, when necessary, in the completion of various projects or repairs including campus snow removal
• Assist in maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies for the campus to ensure the timely and efficient completion of necessary tasks
• Work a reasonable amount of scheduled and "on-call" overtime as necessary
• Perform additional duties requested by the Supervisor and the Director of General Services in order to ensure the effective and efficient operation within the community
• Attendance is essential to this job; maintain dependability and punctuality as outlined in Attendance policy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 1-2 years of maintenance experience as a painter/maintenance in a residential complex, commercial building construction or maintenance
