Painter/Maintenance - Centennial Plaza

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching, and repairing drywall.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Match existing paint colors and finishes as needed.
• Repair wall damage, touch up painted surfaces, and maintain resort aesthetics.
• Maintain painting equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Ensure projects are completed with minimal disruption to guests and operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on resort buildings, guest rooms, and common areas.
• Repair doors, windows, locks, furniture, fixtures, and cabinetry.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, and drains.
• Perform basic electrical repairs such as replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and bulbs.
• Auxiliary with HVAC filter changes and basic system maintenance.
• Complete work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Auxiliary with grounds and facility maintenance.
• Assist with maintaining pools, walkways, parking areas, and exterior structures.
• Pressure wash buildings, sidewalks, and resort facilities as needed.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and equipment issues.
• Auxiliary with storm preparation and post-storm recovery efforts.
• Interact professionally with guests, owners, and team members.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
• Follow all company and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Properly store and handle paints, chemicals, and maintenance supplies.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of painting and general maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, drywall repair, and surface preparation.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs.
• Physical requirements: ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work at heights for extended periods; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly; ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions; ability to perform repetitive motions including painting, sanding, and equipment operation.
