Painter/Carpenter- Plant Operations

What You’ll Do

• Performs any duties related to OPM Department Environment of Care Standards, State Regulations, Federal Regulations, as necessary.
• Performs interior and exterior painting, including walls, ceilings, doors, trim, railings, and other surfaces.
• Prepares surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, caulking, scraping, and repairing imperfections before painting.
• Takes appropriate precautions to protect patients, visitors, equipment, furniture, and hospital property during work activities.
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA requirements when working in patient-care areas or around protected health information (PHI).
• Repairs or replaces damaged drywall, ceiling tiles, flooring materials, hardware, and other building finishes as assigned.
• Responds to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Collaborates with other Facilities/Plant Operations team members and hospital departments.
• Assists with emergency maintenance needs and other facility-related projects as assigned.

Job Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and work from ladders.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to perform work safely while using appropriate personal protective equipment.
