Painter/Blast Foreman

Responsibilities

• Coordinates workflow and priorities
• Sets up and operates paint and sandblasting equipment
• Assigns resources as needed to achieve daily throughput targets
• Supervises workforce
• Aids functional manager in planning and reporting
• Applies paint, varnishes, and stains to exterior surfaces of metal products
• Primes surfaces as necessary
• Selects paint based on application or job
• Sets up and operates paint and sandblasting equipment
• Cleans paint and sandblasting equipment
• Observes and complies with all safety and project rules

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Previous years of experience in the field or in a related area may be required
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working under pressure to meet deadlines
• High level of attention to details and organization skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
