Painter -1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Maintain and use personal protection equipment.
• Alternates with co-workers to load/unload mechanized paint line.
• Operates and stands on a moving hydraulic personnel lift while spraying paint.
• Selects correct coating to be applied to product.
• Mixes paint to correct viscosity.
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
• Pulls trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat to specific tolerance.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Manages proper hazardous waste container and responds to emergencies as required after completing necessary hazardous waste training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
