About the role

Provide a fun and safe atmosphere for all children participating in the Paintbox program through guided activities, crafts, and learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily activities and ensure that all guests are participating.
• Responsible for safety and security of all children in Paintbox programs and activities.
• Handle daily setup and clean-up, including theme days.
• Greet all guests with a warm welcome and fond farewell; ensure children’s information/release forms are accurately filled out and children are signed in on the sign-in sheet by parents/guardians before leaving Paintbox.
• Post all charges to rooms and credit cards.
• Inform children and parents of daily craft and activities.
• Handle reservation requests and incoming phone calls, meeting all phone etiquette standards.
• Communicate with resort staff and guests about present and upcoming programs, offerings, and family activities through Paintbox.
• Maintain relationships and communication with past and future guests through pre/post-visit correspondence.

Requirements

• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
• Attendance at all scheduled/mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience working with children.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification.

Physical Requirements

• Most tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy, and wet weather; temperature can be extreme but is usually moderate.
• Frequently works near moving/mechanical parts.
• Required to reach with arms and hands; bend and stoop.
• Must remain at post standing for extended periods of time.
• Required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
