Responsibilities
- Perform sanding, sandblasting, and surface refinishing to remove defects and prepare components for finishing.
- Prepare, paint, and assemble products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Apply primer and exterior coatings to various UAVs and related products with precision and consistency.
- Mix and prepare adhesives, paints, resins, and other materials in accordance with technical guidelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, process standards, work instructions, and parts lists to ensure accurate execution.
- Inspect and maintain paint equipment to ensure proper functionality and uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related technical training, community college coursework, or military experience preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and accurately follow engineering drawings, technical instructions, and process documentation.
- Proficient in the use of basic hand tools including screwdrivers, ratchets, torque wrenches, precision measuring instruments, and paint shop equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar manufacturing, finishing, or paint-related role strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and performing hands-on tasks as required to service equipment and components.
- Must have sufficient visual acuity to inspect parts and finished products for quality standards.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, respirators, and other safety gear.
- Regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
