Responsibilities
- Apply tape and protective paper to product parts that should be exempt of paint.
- Demasking painted parts by removing tape.
- Placing plugs in holes of metal parts to prevent paint from entering.
- Sanding metal parts of imperfections.
- Learning Powder and/or liquid Painting techniques under supervision.
- Performing quality inspections of product being prepared.
- Keeping inventory of the various masking products (tape, protective paper, etc.).
Requirements
- A high school or GED diploma.
- Ability to read specific directions related to the product mix.
- Manual dexterity.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Adaptable to various situations.
- Communication and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to show enthusiasm and desire to attain manufacturing painter skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- This position will work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels.
- Position will be frequently required to walk, stand, bend, squat, and otherwise move continuously throughout shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
