Paint Technician

Responsibilities

  • Apply tape and protective paper to product parts that should be exempt of paint.
  • Demasking painted parts by removing tape.
  • Placing plugs in holes of metal parts to prevent paint from entering.
  • Sanding metal parts of imperfections.
  • Learning Powder and/or liquid Painting techniques under supervision.
  • Performing quality inspections of product being prepared.
  • Keeping inventory of the various masking products (tape, protective paper, etc.).

Requirements

  • A high school or GED diploma.
  • Ability to read specific directions related to the product mix.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Adaptable to various situations.
  • Communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to show enthusiasm and desire to attain manufacturing painter skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position will work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels.
  • Position will be frequently required to walk, stand, bend, squat, and otherwise move continuously throughout shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
