Paint Support

About the role

Assists in the production of powder-coated components for the assembly of finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Unboxes components from storage containers
• Loads and unloads parts or product onto fixtures
• Assists the Painter, as needed, in the operation of blasting and coating equipment
• Performs visual inspections to ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently, and are consistent with company established goals for quality and productivity
• Performs cleaning and maintenance services to paint equipment/booth according to recommended specifications
• Safely operates paint equipment, hand tools and measuring tools, such as micrometers and calipers
• Assists in other areas of operation, as needed, to provide support during absences or shortages of staff

• Mechanical and technical skills; adept in the use of hand tools and paint equipment
• Safety management mindset and a focus on quality control
• Ability to follow instructions; work with and relate to diverse groups
• Ability to handle working on and completing projects within tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism

Education/Certification

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1 year of Powder coating experience desired but not required
• Previous work experience in a production environment a plus
• Bi-lingual Spanish a plus

Other Duties As Assigned

• Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences/shortage of staff

Working Conditions

• Position requires extensive walking, standing and/or climbing; lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Must be able to move or transfer products with an overhead crane and lift up to 50 lbs
• Work will be performed around machinery with moving parts, moving objects or vehicles; exposure to heat, cold, dampness, humidity, slippery and uneven surfaces
