SUMMARY
Assists the paint department by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loads and unloads parts onto the paint line per instructions on paint line monitor.
- Uses lifting devices when needed.
- Masks parts per instructions on the monitor.
- Packages parts properly for safe shipment to the customer and counts parts accurately while packaging.
- Completes paperwork as required, quality sign off sheets as well as signing of the job travelers.
- Cleans and organizes work area.
- Auxiliary assistance to the Paint Line Supervisor or Leadsperson with any other duties as required.
- Helps other department employees as needed when the line has stopped.

- EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- A High School Diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior forklift experience is preferred.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, as well as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
