Paint Shop Helper

Responsibilities

• Prepare various surfaces for finish painting, including sanding, masking, sandblasting, and minor repairs.
• Apply prime and finish coats using a variety of painting products on different surface types.
• Work with chemicals and dust (not suitable for individuals with allergies).

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Full availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, talking, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, bending, crawling, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to use finger movement, grasping, feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversation and acuity, seeing near and far, depth perception, and color vision.
• Frequent use of protective equipment for eyes, hearing, head, arms, hands, fingers, legs, feet, toes, and body.
• Occasional exposure to extreme cold, heat/sun, temperature changes, wetness, humidity, confined spaces, intense vibrations, fumes, dust, mists, gases, and caustic chemicals.
• Lifts over 51 lbs. require assistance from a co-worker or mechanical device.
• Overtime may be required to accommodate business needs.
