About the role
The Paint Prep / Wash / Caulking role prepares the product for painting by washing, masking, sanding, and caulking product per instructions. The position is responsible for moving the product to the paint booth, removing all tape and paper after the product is completely dry, and maintaining a clean and safe area.
A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic to ensure all painting quality levels are met. Able to work overtime as needed, including extended hours and weekends. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Wash, mask, sand, and caulk product per instructions
- Move product to the paint booth
- Remove all tape and paper after the product is completely dry
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow other job-related instructions and perform additional duties as requested by management
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. (required)
- Technical education courses, post-secondary institutions (e.g., vocational/technical institutes, community colleges), or training through the U.S. Armed Forces (preferred)
Physical Demands
- Regularly lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing
- Must wear ASTM 2413 Steel-Toe/Composite-Toe footwear, ear plugs, safety glasses, goggles, masks with protective lenses, and any other required safety equipment
Pay
- 1st shift starting pay: $18 per hour
- 2nd shift starting pay: $20 per hour
