Paint Prep Tech - $18/hr, First Shift, Weekly Pay, Benefits!

About the role

Our paint prep team helps get bodies and other equipment ready for paint and liner. Proper prep is the key to a quality paint job. The process starts by using basic hand tools to disassemble lights, latches, etc. Then we use DA’s, scuff pads, and other hand tools to prep the surface area. Bodies are masked off and painted, then re-masked and sprayed with bed liner. All equipment goes through a quality check, and any defects are corrected before reassembly.

We’ve taken several team members with zero experience and quickly trained them up. Must be comfortable with small hand tools and have a good attention to detail. We are happy to train anyone that wants to be a valuable member of our team.

Responsibilities

• Use basic hand tools to disassemble lights, latches, and other components
• Prep surface areas using DA’s, scuff pads, and other hand tools
• Mask off bodies for painting and bed liner application
• Perform quality checks and correct defects before reassembly

Requirements

• Safely use basic hand tools
• Able to pass background and drug test
• Able to safely climb a 6' step ladder
• Able to safely carry 50 lbs
• Able to safely climb in and out of trucks up to 30 times per day

Bonus Points

• Automotive paint or body shop experience
• Relevant mechanical experience
• Former military service
