Paint Assistant

About the role

As the Paint Assistant you will be a vital asset to our component shop team. In this position you will paint aircraft parts within accordance with the FAA specifications.

Responsibilities

• Paint aircraft detail parts and assemblies in accordance with customer and FAA specifications and requirements
• Mix and measure all types of paint in accordance with instructions
• Use HVLP guns, pressure pots, and cup guns in performance of duties
• Operate and calibrate paint thickness meter as needed
• Maintain clean work area, tools, and equipment
• All other duties assigned

Requirements

• Previous related experience preferred
• Must be able to wear proper personal protective equipment
• Apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed
• Safely and properly use paint equipment such as sprayers; calipers, and other tools and equipment
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds with assistance
• Identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy
• Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions
• Takes initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted
• Prioritizes and plans work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines

Pay

$15 - 18 per hour
