PAIN & SPINE - REGISTERED NURSE

Mountain View Hospital · Idaho Falls, ID · 2 wk ago
Part-time

About the role

Pain management nurses work closely with patients to monitor the severity and timing of pain in order to treat it effectively. Once a plan is determined, they maintain excellent communication with the patient and family and keep treatment notes to watch for signs of abuse or other symptoms. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate between multiple medical facilities, as patients may be treated by various specialists simultaneously.

Registered Nurses help maintain the flow of procedures and accountability within the nursing staff, both independently and collectively. They assist in creating a culture of learning and safety for all, fostering an environment of trust and integrity. In this specialty, RNs coordinate patient care and assist with other staffing needs to maintain continuity of care. They perform all duties within the nursing scope of practice.
