Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examination of patients presenting with pain-related concerns
- Reviewing Patient's Medical History
- Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief, following established protocols and guidelines
- Consulting with other providers before deciding on a therapy or treatment program to help patients manage their pain
- Using knowledge and pain management skills to find effective non-invasive treatment options
- Performing joint injections
- Provide patient education on pian management techniques, lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications
- Active VA/MD license
- Previous experience in the field of pain management is preferred
- Excellent clinical skills, including physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in decision-making
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
- Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care, with a focus on improving the quality of life for individuals living with chronic pain
- Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
