Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examination of patients presenting with pain-related concerns
  • Reviewing Patient's Medical History
  • Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief, following established protocols and guidelines
  • Consulting with other providers before deciding on a therapy or treatment program to help patients manage their pain
  • Using knowledge and pain management skills to find effective non-invasive treatment options
  • Performing joint injections
  • Provide patient education on pian management techniques, lifestyle modifications and self-care strategies
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients

Qualifications

  • Active VA/MD license
  • Previous experience in the field of pain management is preferred
  • Excellent clinical skills, including physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in decision-making
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
  • Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care, with a focus on improving the quality of life for individuals living with chronic pain
  • Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
