About the role

We’re looking for a motivated Manager to join our global Revenue Accounting team, supporting Spotify’s Paid Revenue business across Premium, Partner, and Other Paid Revenue streams. As part of the Order-to-Cash (OTC) organization, you’ll help oversee accounting for Spotify’s €15B+ subscription business while partnering closely with teams across Finance, Product, Engineering, and the broader business. In this role, you’ll manage core revenue accounting processes, drive operational improvements, and support new business initiatives as Spotify continues to scale.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting for Spotify’s Paid Revenue business, including Premium, Partner, and Other Paid Revenue streams.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and SOX requirements.
  • Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and partner with leadership to implement scalable solutions.
  • Drive end-to-end process improvement initiatives, including proposal development, cross-functional coordination, testing, and implementation.
  • Partner with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to support new business initiatives and evolving revenue models.
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations while collaborating with global team members to deliver key operational metrics.
  • Support system implementations, process enhancements, and other special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of accounting experience, ideally supporting SaaS, digital commerce, payments, or digital media businesses at scale.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification; CPA or CA certification is a plus.
  • Combination of Big 4 and industry experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient with data and reporting tools, with SQL and AI experience strongly preferred.
  • Enjoy improving processes and embracing new technologies.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams and time zones.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

This role is based in New York, NY. We offer flexibility to work where you work best, with some in-person meetings. You’ll be asked to come into the office 2–3 days per week.

Pay

The United States base range for this position is $111,860–$159,800, plus equity.
