Responsibilities
- Design engineering solutions for mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware based on established engineering principles in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
- Provide tier 4 engineering support, investigate hardware related field and factory issues and determine root cause(s).
- Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, system power measurements & acoustics.
- Use continuous improvement methodology to continuously improve performance, reliability and quality while reducing cost.
- Serve as HP technical interface for strategic suppliers.
- Lead and/or work on cross-functional, multi-disciplinary project teams with other engineers and development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for highly-complex products.
- Collaborate and communicate with management, internal and outsourced development partners, and other key stakeholders regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
Requirements
- Recommended Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline (preference given to Mechanical Engineering, but relevant work experience/expertise will be considered)
- Typically has 5 to 7 years of engineering experience, preferably in mechanical design.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English

Pay
The pay range for this role is $116,150 to $171,350 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
