About the role
Columbia Endoscopy Surgery Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN PACU Registered Nurse to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
- Performs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both patients and families in preparation for discharge.
- Affixes physicians as needed with tasks in the procedure rooms, including conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
- Active RN license in the state of Ohio.
- BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center).
- 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
- Ability to make sound decisions based on nursing judgment.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
